AIR FLOW SENSOR by DELPHI

A mass air flow sensor is used to find out the mass of air entering a fuel-injected internal combustion engine. The air mass information is necessary for the engine control unit to balance and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. Air changes its density as it expands and contracts with temperature and pressure. In order for a car engine to perform at its peak, it needs a method of regulating air flow into the engine based on various driving conditions. A mass air flow sensor is responsible for this task. It helps drivers conserve on fuel efficiency by delivering information to the engine control module.
