In order for gas driven automobiles to work, their internal combustion engines are dependent on gasoline to fuel the reactions inside their cylinders. Without gasoline, a car’s engine will quickly starve. A fuel pump is an essential component on a car. The responsibility of a fuel pump is to deliver gasoline from the fuel tank to the car engine. Because of this, the fuel pump is often noted to be the heart of the car’s fueling system. Though a fuel tank may be full, a damaged fuel pump can quickly kill a car engine because it is unable to draw on the gasoline that is needed to fuel the combustions that drives a car’s pistons.
